  17. <p>    The six-man gospel music group Take Six usually sings a
  18. cappella tunes about divine love. But the singers have many
  19. worldly friends who may just help the group's debut album Take
  20. Six place in next month's Grammy nominations. Stevie Wonder
  21. greets callers on his answering machine with Take Six's layered
  22. harmonies and says its sound has "changed my life." Leonard
  23. Bernstein, Placido Domingo and Isaac Stern are also fervent
  24. fans. "Having six of us allows us to sing full chords," says the
  25. group's arranger, Mark Kibble. "There's something about
  26. harmonies that affects people emotionally." All in all, not bad
  27. for guys who began singing together in a college shower. Says
  28. Take Six's tenor Claude McKnight: "Porcelain walls make for good
  29. acoustics." There's hope for all bathroom baritones.
